I am a visual artist working in animation and drawing, combining traditional drawing methods with new media techniques. My portraiture work is concerned with ideas of the real and recreated and how we attribute value to particular methods of representation. With each portrait I treat the face as a landscape of sorts, creating a colour pencil map that shows the fluctuations in tone and light across the rise and fall of the face.
