Digital Collages
This series of work employs traditional drawing methods with digital assemblage to create a group of portraits that are contradictory images. The crude cut and paste technique creates a kind of flatness, and the sharp geometric sections float over one another hanging in a pictorial void. Yet the mark making is in contrast to the approach to collage and there is a distinct sense of volume with each hand drawn feature.
